Weekly Wishlist 16/03 - some THINGS I've liked this week (on that note can I watch Poor Things again?)
Those leopard trainers, my dream dress, surprise dresses, spirals, Bubala (delish), a new ring, what not to watch, frilly blouse and best in show cake candle (really!). Oh, and a SKORT (again REALLY!)
I know I say this all the time but I really will try and keep this week’s wishlist short and sweet! I’ve done quite a few longer posts recently and I know not everyone has time for that… I agree I mostly don’t!
But I do like to save all my favourite Substacks and fully make time to sit, take a break, and properly read them. Much like we used to do with magazines, in the days long ago when I’d buy Elle or Grazia, get a cuppa, and a choccy biscuit and actually consume and absorb this… the pre Instagram days! Sounds nice doesn’t it?
Anyway this one is about the product / things that have caught my eye this week - remember that great double page spread that used to be at the front of Stylist and the Evening Standard’s ES magazine, think of this as a bit like that! ❤️
I used to love getting those free weekly mags at the tube when I would commute to an office every day back in my twenties - I left my last job five months before I turned 30 to set up Studio B as my online store (I’ll be 36 on the 28th of this month… HOW!). Now I find travelling round London for one meeting, then on to meet a friend for dinner exhausting!

£65) Spiralling towards summer
£1,763) I’m a dreamer
£69.99) Block party
£139) Slip n slide
Priceless) Poor Things on Disney+
I wish you could post an instagram carousel on here as I shared a lovely (if I do say so myself) Poor Things inspired one earlier this week. Did anyone see the Oscars? As if I couldn’t love Emma Stone more already.
I’ve mentioned this film a couple of times before in here (see articles below) but it’s now available to watch from the comfort of your own sofa, on Disney+ (I think a subscription is usually £4.99 a month) or you can buy for £11.99 on Amazon Prime.
£126) Walk on the wild side
Want to know where these leopard lovelies are from, and shop the rest of the wishlist?
The first 4 picks are for free subscribers, a starter if you will 😋 and the full tasting menu is for paid subscribers (a further 16 picks below, plus two of my reviews!).
I’ll give you my reviews on two things from this week too - that REFY Lash Sculpt I mentioned was launching in this post below (scroll down to about mid way on the below to read my thoughts on the brow sculpt and face primer):
- and Bubala, a Middle Eastern inspired veggie restaurant that I’d been wanting to try for AGES. Finally my friend got us a 5.30pm booking for two this week in Soho - early girls dinner!
I also recently gave you some of my honest reviews in this ‘Sunday paper’ style article (below) from two weeks ago and I think you really liked them… well, a couple of friends who text me after definitely did. If a Sunday supplement (or any kind of column, I’m not precious) would like to get in touch with me I’m open to ideas 😂
