Have I told you about...
23/10/24 - A juicy little list of good things to click on. Feat: a secret discount code, sellout suede, a play, a life exercise, a read, bargain boots, fluffy feet, Ganni and the Bel of the ball ❤
I’m back with my list of lovely things! Well, actually, not all lovely, some are more deep than others, but don’t worry all will lead to joy!
Says it all in the title really, and I’m aiming to keep these ‘Have I told you about(s)’ quick-n-easy, so I’ll just get going shall I… from clothes, to culture to come here to mama!
Grab lunch, take a breath and enjoy.
HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT….
— H&M Oversized Suede Coat, okay, don’t kick me, it’s £369.99 (pricey for H&M but actually a decent price for a long suede coat, lowest I’ve seen by far), and please don’t kick me again, it’s sold out right now.
BUT signing up to restock notifications really does work, or randomly refreshing if you happen to wake up at 4am… not that I ever do this. I swear! Although, it worked a treat for me the other day when I finally managed to snag those intense red ME+EM cords I told you about last time in my size.
— Fluffy feet, obviously I love the monster slippers too, a more H&M friendly price at £27.99 (they’d make a fun gift too, right?).
— I love this one, a section from a book I read a couple of years ago - Really Good Actually by Monica Heisey. In a nutshell, it’s about getting divorced in your late twenties (not that I have, but I really enjoyed the book). I then gave it to a dear friend, at a time when it was rather fitting to her life situation, but it’s taken her so long to read it a lot has since changed (she’s recently remarried).
Point is, she sent me this photo the other week (on her honeymoon 😂) and I’d completely forgotten about this post-it note I’d stuck in for her… and about this life exercise:
“Write freely for 10 - 15 minutes: WHAT DO I WANT? If this is difficult, consider the opposite: What don’t I want?”
— And now I want to read this from the same author - I Can’t Believe it’s Not Better: A Woman's Guide to Coping with Life. I also just read that Monica Heisey is one of Schitt’s Creek’s screenwriters, still on my watch list, but I hear hilarious things.
