Weekly Wishlist 25/03... under £100 edit
31 pieces for picnics or parties. Swirls, socks, sequins, bows, big cat, big beads, boots, red, rosette, slime, slip-ons, and gingham greats! Oh, and coffee cups, a lamp & some chef pants (YES CHEF!)
Hi!
I’ve thought for a while this would be a good edit to do for you, so I’ve naturally been squirrelling away anything I just so happened to love that was under £100 (okay one out of the thirty-one in this edit is slightly over, allow me one!).
Thank you to everyone who has sent lovely comments and feedback on here and over instagram, they really do give me a boost and let me know I’m on the right track 😊 (obviously nice comments feel good but any feedback really is greatly appreciated, I want to know what you want to see 👀).
However, I did have one comment, said in a nice way, from someone saying they wanted to upgrade to paid but were scared they’d want to spend too much on all the lovely things I find! So I thought, you know what, an under £100 edit is for you dear lady!
And I get it, believe me I am not buying everything in here. I need a hell of a lot more subscribers for that to ever even be possible…
… a friend recently thought all of you lovely 10k+ subscribers on here (don’t get me wrong I love you all and am so thankful for you reading this) were paying subscribers at £6.50 a month, which would be MARVELLOUS, and make me rich beyond my wildest dreams 😂 (believe me this is harder than it looks and I’m a long way off with a few hundred of you, who I am eternally grateful for, you’re keeping the dream alive!).
Anyway! One day I won’t digress! But I want this to feel accessible and useful to all.
My aim with Studio B, when it was my online store too, was always to bring you something a bit different and introduce you to some smaller or independent / lesser known / special brands and makers. I always wanted to encourage a style over trend approach…
BUY LESS, LOVE MORE, LOVE LONGER, WEAR IT AND FEEL AMAZING!
So, I know some of the lovely things I find are a higher price-point, but I’m not suggesting we all buy them all. I’m merely giving you my buyer’s eye to show you the beauty of discovery, and give you the option (I’m scrolling so you don’t have to!).
Although, maybe we could swap and share on the high end items, sort of like a clothes time share! Yes I know there’s rental and people love this (circular fashion which is great) but I personally haven’t used this much. I like to fall in love with something and wear it again and again… and forking out over £60 (just a ball park for most the things I like) to give something back two days later seems a bit inefficient for me personally.
And I know I could be the renter (not the rentee) but is it a bit like having a tenant you don’t know in your home? What if they smash a vase or leave toast crumbs everywhere? You get my gist! I’ve also heard horror stories of rental items being ‘lost in the post’ upon their return.
W O R S T N I G H T M A R E.
RIGHT, back to it! You’ve indulged my inner monologue long enough, here’s the UNDER £100 EDIT. Thank you! x
Swirly whirly
Yes it’s extreme but summer calls for swirls! I love a statement ring like this, and big beads, chunky jewellery and swirly somethings look like they’re going to be BIG this summer. Anni Lu | Shelly Ring £40.
This is so chunky you don’t have to worry about losing it at the beach (although could be mistaken for a shell, it is in fact made from real shell). I never dare wear my usual rings / wedding rings on holiday as they feel loose when I go in the sea, but I reckon I could catch this!
I heart it
Yes I love all of these, from a girl after my own heart Cassie Chung, a self admitted over packer who shared this shot when taking them all away with her (I always concede jewellery is small and relatively light!). I’ll B adding another one from this selection, that’s been on my list for a little while, to next week’s edit (my birthday wishlist, indulge me!).
But miraculously one of these is WELL under £100… NA-KD | Faux Leather Strap Heart Necklace £10.50 I think it’s this one in the image below, but I've seen this one on there too: NA-KD | Faux Leather Strap Heart Pendant £13.50.
YES Jeff!
I may have mentioned (may = I know) that I’ve just watched, and adored, The Bear. Some of the style in the show I’ve since become a little obsessed with. Don’t get me started on Sydney’s jacket(s) but I'll give you my intel on this soon in a spring jacket special…
… for now I am bringing you the CHEF PANTS. Service Works | Classic Chef Pants £59. A unisex style, they come in loads of colours, look super comfy n cool and I’m making my husband get a pair. I’m after the blue or the burgundy myself too!
A good gifty
I’d B pretty happy with this little cutie. Damson Madder | Rosette Scrunchie Pink Stripe £18.
Another good gift
I just love this Zodiac series from David Shrigley, in fact I love all his work and must own a print (or an original) at some point in my life. The prints are always limited edition and I often forget this and miss out!
But they do have postcards available, perfect alternative for birthday cards: David Shrigley | Postcards £2.75.
Biker bargain boots - reduced to £66!
Yes you read that right, they’re reduced by 70%, all sizes were stock (*as of yesterday), they’re a glossy leather and come in CREAM too.
Want to know where these absolute barg leather boots are from, and shop the rest of the wishlist?
The first few picks on here are for free subscribers, a starter if you will 😋 and the full tasting menu is for paid subscribers (a further 24 picks below and a few of my stories along the way too).
