Weekly wishlist / life lately... been to, bought and thought
Weekly wishlist with a side of lifestyle and a sprinkling of reality. I've got sipped, shopped, Suffolk, skincare and summer 😎 and of course some of my special / secret brands.
Hello new week, hello new wishlist (yes I realise it’s now Thursday already!).
Ohh, this one has not started off well (the week not the wishlist - dreamy yet mostly attainable as always if you ask me). I don’t think starting a fresh week with a Monday hangover is ever going to make you feel productive, pretty and pow pow POW is it.
Alas, it is God’s will to have christenings on a Sunday and obviously I took my role as fairy godmother very seriously…
If my gorgeous baby goddaughter needs life lessons in how to consume prosecco on a hot sunny Sunday then I think I’ve got that one covered (and I’m blaming her mother and the gals back North East, Darlington - prosecco is like their water! The pub even ran out towards the end can you believe!).
*My BRIGHT dress is past season Cecilie Bahnsen, I bought it earlier this year (in prep for summer) from The Real Real.
Which is a US resale site and not somewhere I’d usually look as I had to pay customs charges with this shipping from US to UK. HOWEVER, I was determined to track down this dress after I’d seen on the divine @annashaffer - this was the only place I found her and it was VERY heavily discounted, so still felt like a tres good buy for CB.
Anyway, there’s a bit of reality (and I love those girls, having grown up one of them, I can’t blame my ability to booze on them. I blame the parents).
Back to the here, now, the good, the great, the tasty, the tantalising, the want, the need, the bought and the thought! I’ve got a few of my small brand secrets in here too, so the first few items will be for all, and the full meal deal (wishlist and wonders, all linked) for paid subscribers.
Again big thanks to everyone and anyone reading even a few lines of this each week - I know the time constraints of life, so if you want to just get to the good stuff scroll down to the images.
But if you want to enjoy my chatty little natter, comment, or ask any questions, then think of this as sitting down with a mini magazine twice a week 😊 - get a cuppa / a G&T / your lunch / elevenses / afternoon biscuit and enjoy the read. I really hope you do.
What’s in this wishlist:
— The place I’m now shopping.
— The slouchy pull on jeans I had to immediately order (at £78).
— What I’ve bought recently / included in a rather lovely 16 piece wishlist.
— Cage sandals, fisherman meets clog (at £99).
— The beach tote I’ve just found and am 100% certain it’s THE ONE.
— Red hot - sandals, skirt n set (all under £70).
— The add your own bow cardi you’re going to want!
— Another one of my best Aussie brands (hello holiday wear).
— Skin care saviour (with a bargain dupe I’ve bought).
— Taco time (another restaurant review from me, and a taco pouch!)
— Summer in a glass, from an English vineyard (£23).
— Pints n pottery, a pottery workshop I want to go to (in a pub).
Let us begin!
80 Cold shoulder
€79.99 | Fabienne Chapot Barbra Top Wholly Pretty Print - I do enjoy a one shoulder top for summer! I’ve had my eye on this for a while and have just committed (delivery was €10 for UK and I didn’t pay any customs charges).
49 Wear with the above
£49 | BPCR Studio Extraterrestre Earrings - A Barcelona based brand I’ve mentioned in here before (shipping to UK £8). Won’t these just elevate strapless tops and summer linen for a balmy eve 😎
70 Red hot chilli skirt
£69.95 | Massimo Dutti Maxi Skirt Elasticated Waistband Red - I found this the other week and it was sold out, but the classic ‘sign up to back in stock notifications’ worked a charm and it fully restocked last week. Yes, I bought it. Worn it once so far when we had those *few* days of sunshine and I can report that I love it!
! Maximum Massimo
I’ve got to say I’m suddenly very impressed with Massimo Dutti, I know it’s always been there, part of the Inditex (Zara) group, but they absorbed Uterqüe in late 2022 (if you remember them, I was a fan). I just think they seem to have really found their footing this season and I keep seeing more and more pieces I like the look of!
299 Sold out but I’m waiting to (surely!) be restocked - £299 | Massimo Dutti Suede Leather Pareo Skirt.
36 Wish I’d bought this at the same time to pair with my red skirt - £35.99 | Massimo Dutti Off the Shoulder Top Red.
33 Thong song
£32.99 | Zara Kitten Heel Satin Sandals - Thong sandals that is. Clearly, I’m continuing the red theme here! I bought these last week.
After a couple of wears in the house, to get over the shock of that flip flop style toe-thong, when you’ve not worn said flip flops yet this year, they’re great!
Comfy kittens, love the red satin, and I’ve seen similar red strappy sandals at quite a few more premium brands.
I feel these are very you!* All photos I do link too, so if you click them it should take you direct to the brand / site to shop the item. However, these grid images we can’t link for some reason, so click the highlighted text.
And yes, my toes are not the most desirable, but I love these with jeans and you know what we can’t always hide our flaws. B brave!
78 Perfect pull-ons
Since I mentioned jeans there I saw this £78 pair on Nicola (below) at the weekend and my god I fell in love with them! I actually guessed where they were from before I asked her, which rather impressed myself I’ve got to say 😂
Want to know where they’re from…
Continues below for Paid Subscribers with the jeans, a further 10 pieces of my wishlist, one of my favourite summer brands, my reviews (a taco place, a UK vineyard and some skincare) and something I want to go to.
