Weekly Wishlist 07/12
My weekly edit of things I love / am buying / am lusting after... this week the best Alaia dupe shoes I've seen, a GREAT price knit vest, the 'ONE' skirt, the dream pink coat, and some metallic magic.
Okay, I’m going in no particular order here, in fact I may put the B into best until last for paid subscribers 😊 . For this week everyone can see the full list (to show you some of what I’ve got!). From next week, free subs will get a taster with the first 3-5 items, and paid get the FULL tasting menu (+ other treats, click the subscribe button to see).
214) Nue Notes Huxley Skirt Navy
I have had my beady buyers eye on this skirt and it’s EXACTLY the voluminous midi skirt I’ve had in my head to team with great boots and a big knit (a go to look for me). There’s certain pieces I love from this Danish brand, which I haven’t seen in the UK, and this is the ONE skirt like this I’ll buy this season (which I know will come out year after year). Price is in euro but approx. £214.
29.99) Parfois Knitted Vest (in my favourite green!
If you followed me already @studio_b_fashion you’ll know I always love green! That bright Kermit green (or kelly green). Knit vests are super practical too for adding an extra layer to a dress/blouse/tee you don’t want to hide with a jumper! This is such a good price at £29.99.
475) Stella Nova Wool Mix Coat Pink
Okay I just saw this last week and I gasped out loud, this really is my dream coat! I am a pink lover regardless but this is just so classy, with that wrap style (drooling), it’s a love for lifer! I’ll be honest I do absolutely LOVE coats, but this season I can’t say I’ve been that wowed by any (I’m not a classic black/grey sensible coat kinda gal) until this! The grown up way to do Barbie.
I know it’s not cheap at €549, approx £475, but coats are an investment you’ll have for years, and remember they’re the first part (sometimes the only part) of your outfit everyone see’s for almost half the year!
195) Natalie Savage Art Prints
I’ve been following London based artist Natalie for a while and an original of hers is on my wishlist (starts from around £500) but she does release print drops every now and again priced at around £195, so she’s one to watch! Perfect for a kitchen or dining room, think prawns-n-pasta, mussels-n-martinis, seafood and let your eyes eat it!
149) Aligne Jacinda Diamante Wide Leg Jean
I LOVE interesting denim, and I love sparkly things, so of course I had to share with you Aligne’s diamante denim. The wide leg looks great (plus super comfy, as I’ve gotten older comfort is key!), they’re well priced at £149 and there’s so many ways to style; knit for day, heeled boots and a blouse/turtleneck/blazer for eve, loose linen shirt and sandals come summer, or…
* I would say the denim quality is a little thinner than I expected, but good for all seasons / hot party places (i.e your friends kitchen). Size wise I sized down to a w25 (as a size 8, w26 in jeans) and they’re still a comfy loose fit.
129) Aligne Harlem Diamante Waisted Denim Shirt
… YES there’s a matching shirt too! My god I LOVE a set! Double denim, diamond dazzler, coolest co-ord, snazzy set, sorry I’ll stop now. But I really like these to style as a set, or as separates (you can always style a shirt open over dresses too like a jacket). Jeans £149. Shirt £129.
225) Giarite Brilly Bag
You know when I said I love sparkles, well if you haven’t guessed I also love colour 🌈 here’s both! I’ve had this bag, in the pink crystals, for almost a year now and I cannot tell you HOW MUCH I’ve used this. And how many people ask me where it’s from!
I use it for day all the time too, just because it’s fun, and I love it for summer (even more I think). It’s £225 but they rather often seem to do 20% discounts, so I’d sign up to their mailing list and wait for one.
Next up the current love of my life…
514) Sleeper Hebao Jacket with Detachable Feathers in Pink
I know it’s a pricey one, believe me I’ve toyed with it A LOT, but if you ask me a statement jacket can make any outfit… you could just have thermal leggings on alone with this and I’d still think FABULOUS! Personally, I also always like an ‘indoor jacket’ for winter, it’s part of my outfit and I won’t be taking it off!
For some looks it replaces a big jumper for me, and I style under an oversized overcoat for braving the outside (*come spring I’ll wear this as a regular outdoor jacket, like normal people).
Price wise, I would shop around for this. I love Ukrainian brand Sleeper, I worked with them for years; I sold so many pairs of their Feather Party PJ’s when Studio B was my online store, I still maintain everyone should have a pair in their lives! But there are UK stockists to avoid customs charges. AND I can see this being in sale soon… try END Clothing for potentially deeper discounts, that’s one of my tips.
330) Queens of Archive Alabama Dress
Okay I’m not usually one for ‘Christmas party dressing’ as such, I LOVE sparkles and a damn good dress, but kinda out of season (sequins for summer are my thing). HOWEVER, this 70’s style beauty has got me! I love the gals behind this British brand too; this diva is £330, but she’s such a retro classic. Shop small, spread joy, look stunning! And team with sparkly socks-n-platforms now, socks off come spring. Party season can B any season!
30) Host Home Pair of Bow Candle Holders
Continuing the gold theme, I just saw these (only launched last week) and instantly had to have a pair for 30 quid, I was genuinely looking for bow candle holders! Bow’s seem to be everywhere this season, and I am here for it (simple way, get some ribbon to wear as a hair bow or shirt necktie).
They come in silver too. PS - I LOVE Host Home, a secret of mine for joyful little bits of affordable homeware, great for gifts too, I’ll tell you more another time!
255) Farm Rio Caramel Embroidered Horses Trousers
Definitely a YAY not a NAY! I saw these the other month in Liberty and haven’t stopped thinking about them, if anyone else remembers the Chloe horse print from 2018 I was desperate for these trousers! Five years later I actually like these more, it’s the wide leg for me, I’m thinking a 70’s style look with a cream roll neck and chunky platforms.
Price wise they are £255 at Liberty but I’d WAIT until they start sale v.soon (they were in their 30% off weekend recently). Or direct at Farm Rio £229.50 with free shipping (but check on customs charges).
148) Sam Edelman Michaela Gem Buckle Ballet Flats
Okay the best dupe I think I’ve seen of the Alaia studded ballet flats (if you know, you know, if not they’re like gold dust and over £800!). Clearly these are a goodun as they’re also selling out! I’ve found at £148 here with a couple of sizes still in stock, or I’ve found here too (beware the US sizing mind!). Or try Sam Edelman direct (they do other cute versions of the same Michaela ballet flat too, I like the raspberry velvet).
And another alternative here which is in stock, and I have tried myself. I’d size down if you’re between sizes (I’m a 5.5 but tried a 6 which was far too big). At £39.99 I’m not going to lie they’re not amazing quality but mentioning as I shared this photo months ago and had so many people asking where her shoes were from (which I spent a while searching for myself).
Or for a ballet flat that’s a bit different I love these…
160) Jeffrey Campbell Ballotte-F Blue Denim
I bought some long cowboy boots from this brand last year (in a great sale) and loved the quality (soft leather, really comfy, not stiff like the Ganni ones). They do some amazing styles that are a bit different… faux fur lined mary-jane ballet flats, oh go on then! These come in black too, both $160 (about £126 - but shipping is from US so will have customs charges).
I hope you enjoyed what I’m loving this week! ❤️
Plenty more to come, next week I’m going to test a shorter snappier format (comments always welcome), and go Christmasy with original gift ideas I’d actually want to receive (at gifty price, under £100)… rainbow gems, smiley somethings, pasta pledge and THAT sweatshirt.
And if you know someone who might like Studio B you can gift them me! ❤️
