Weekly Wishlist 01/05... bypassing spring and hoping summer comes early!

I'm building you some looks with a daisy denim jumpsuit, THOSE pink leather sandals, Miu Miu sunglasses at a steal, a suede jacket, long shorts, dad shirts & dresses to decide on. Oh,and a Vinted tip!

Dear lord how is it the 1st of May! Terrifies me how each year seems to go quicker and quicker (showing my age here) but hey, at least we must be closer to some warmer weather, surely!

I’m guessing we’ve all been feeling the same recently, pretty ‘bleurgh’ about getting dressed / what to wear / our wardrobes… isn’t it ridiculous that this weekend I was back in a big coat, it was that cold in London town! And if it wasn’t that it was a rain mac (layered over a denim jacket, as like I said, the cold!).

Sunday… when the sun finally came out at 5pm, hallelujah! After a long wet dog walk earlier in the day (hence the leopard mac) here I am trotting off to the pub… attempted to sit outside for one, but the cloud came and we had to admit al fresco defeat!

I can’t actually ever remember feeling this lacklustre with my wardrobe and this indecisive with getting dressed, something I usually love doing! It just feels like spring hasn’t sprung this year and I’ve been layering / wearing the same things I’ve worn day in day out now, FOREVER!

I’m hoping this means we’ll go straight into a heatwave and can finally set the summer wardrobe loose. I always seem to think I can go from knitwear straight to short sleeves, alas I haven’t dared bare any skin yet (except for those 4 days in Porto).

So! With impending sunshine in mind (COME ON MAY) I’ve sort of bypassed spring dressing and I’m giving you the joys that are warming my soul right now - turns out there are plenty!

What’s in this wishlist:

— THE pale pink leather sandals (some of you saw a sneak peek I posted of these).
— Daisy denim overalls I’ve wanted for two years.
— A very amenable £175 suede jacket (faux suede but who wants real with the rain, and the price tag).

— Green sunglasses… including where to find this Miu Miu pair at 30% less.
— The long shorts I’ve just bought for summer (£25).
— A jolly good dress selection (fringe, floral, wrap and red), including an Ulla Johnson steal!
— Sam Edelman sale sandals.
— Fruity crochet and botanical cool ‘dad’ summer shirts 😎

— The £30 lunch menu you’ve got to go for!
— What I just bought on Vinted, following one of my own tips.
— The prettiest teaspoons ever (if you make 5+ cuppa’s a day like me you’ll get this, how boring is an Ikea silver teaspoon when you see so much of it!)

128 Sunshine brings the flowers

£128) Lele Sadoughi Daisy Oval Sunglasses (at Free People) - They’re giving me The Serpent meets That 70’s Show (and the Miu Miu sunnies I mentioned, oval shape, emerald green, are further below).

239 Jump for denim

€239) Flolove Paris Embroidered Denim Overalls - I’ve wanted this for so long, this has to be the year! How easy to just throw this, sandals and a scrunchie on.

175 Suede for spring

£175) Pixie Market Suede Button Jacket Camel - Faux suede to be exact (have you seen the price of real suede jackets? Raey did a divine trench, a mere £1.8k). This jacket shape / length I love the idea of for throwing over denim or printed summer dresses… and I won’t be so worried about our very British weather (ahem, rain) with faux suede.

236 Erica made me do it

£236) Ulla Johnson Caprice Floral Cotton Poplin Midi Dress (at My Theresa) - I just saw this outfit on Erica yesterday and had to immediately track it down, how stunning does she look!

@erica_davies looking oh so Carrie in NYC last week. The layering is perfection, that top is also Ulla Johnson, I found here at the Outnet - £105 (50% off).

Absolute bonus this dress is in sale (60% off) as I love Ulla Johnson but know it’s usually out my price range. Whenever I’ve seen one in person they truly are treasure forever, wear on repeat pieces, so this does feel worth it in sale! Oh gawd, I may have to try it…

125 WHERE ARE THOSE SHOES FROM?

I know you’ll all want to know this one, when I first came across this image last year I had to immediately find out who made the shoes!

I’m so glad I saved this to remember for summer, turns out they’re by a small handmade brand… and they come in other colours too (I’m torn between this pink leather and the green suede).
