Things you need to know about IMMEDIATELY
Just some good things / good deals / general goodness I have to show you right away (some might end / sell out soon!)
Another long weekend gone by and how the hell are we almost in June!!
Summer is starting… and rain is forecast yet AGAIN, woo. But don’t despair I have some quick small wins, small joys, small secrets for you to brighten the day / week / month - come on now, surely June must finally bring us a stretch of sunshine!
For once I won’t delay and just give you some goodness below 🌈 rest assured a more chatty woman article coming later this week where I’ll B giving you a bit of a summer update on what’s to come… ooo it’s good. I think!
18 Peas in the pod
£18 | Sandra Alexandra Archive Sale - A one off online sample sale from Sandra (whose glass jewellery I’ve loved for ages). The colourful pea in a pod charms have got me!
The peas in this image (other fruit n veg are available too) are actually sold as single earrings, but I use one I already have as a charm which I add to a gold chain or a gold link bracelet.
A gorgeous friend bought me Sandra’s jalapeño chilli earring 3 years ago as part of a wedding gift and I have adored it ever since! I’m thinking the poddington pea could work well as another charm for the bracelet I’ve added this to… must stop selling to myself on here!
£ Have some Ssense
You may have noticed sale season is starting, same as last time it seems like big stores have loads of stock left = some cracking discounts for us. I’ll B honest most the higher ticket items I have in my wardrobe I buy in sale and the Ssense sale is always one of my best.
I haven’t had much of a gander yet as I usually like to shop sale when there’s something specific I’ve had my eye on / I’m in need of for a purpose (saying that I do need a raincoat… not quite what I’d had in mind for June!).
At the moment I’ve mostly got smaller brands on my radar and the *odd* holiday item for going in 2.5 weeks time. I’ve already got ‘special’ holiday items I love to death and am pretty much repeating last year’s packing… I’ll give you my essentials list next week!
And last year I went a little wild on sale dresses with weddings in mind as I had a 3 day extravaganza in India at the end of last year, and I have two this summer. So I’m sorted! But, a very quick little peak lead me to this…
Off topic but speaking of kidswear I am seriously considering trying these Zara cotton trousers (for holiday) - £16.99 | Zara Kids Striped Trousers 100% Cotton.
I’m just under 5’4 and a small size 8, looking at the measurements I think age 13-14 years might just fit - just adding this in for any petite ladies (or people who may actually want them for kids! Start at age 6).
35 Tulips for tea
£35 | Where There’s Mud Tulip Flower Bowl - I’d seen these tulip bowls weeks ago and it took me forever to find where I’d saved them / recall them from the depths of my picture brain - voila!
I’m happy, you’re happy, the dinner table’s happy, the small hand-maker Hayley is happy… it’s just my husband who is un-happy at another ceramic entering the house (but frankly my dear I don’t give a damn 😂).
I’ll B honest I kinda want to mix n match the tulip bowls with these… I love pasta and I love a party - £35 | Where There’s Mud Pasta Party Bowl.
38 Bushy brows luscious lashes
A really lovely great angle video of me applying mascara on the train 😂 (can anyone do this without their mouth open!). BUT I had very un-notable eyelashes before and I SWEAR BY UKLash’s Eyelash and Eyebrow Serum | £38 each - or sold as a duo for £68.40.
I’ve used both for over a year and can massively tell the difference when I’ve ran out and stopped using them for a few months, especially with the eyebrow serum. Last time I only bought one to replenish and went with the eyelash serum, now I wish I’d just bought both - which I just have again.
Sounds like a bit of a commitment but they do last me ages, maybe 4 months each, and I would say even when I’ve stopped using them for a while I can still see some permanent strength-n-length.
And they do quite regularly have 15 or 20% off weekends, or do a free gift with purchase over £40, at the moment it’s a hair mask.
I also highly rate this Refy Lash Sculpt Mascara | £20 I’m applying here - I mentioned it in this wishlist already. I’m a big fan, works for me.
5, 6, 7 Under the sea
Yes, that £5, £6 and £7 for these HAIR CLAWS. God I love a summer hair clip.
Sea also the £6 starfish and how dear-lord-I-need-it-in-my-life is the £7 seahorse!!
Want the link to these? And the rest of my need to knows!
I think you’ll love this blouse too…
