The knitwear on my list right now

It's quite an extensive list, with a GREAT mix: sporty stripes, clown collar, fair isle, flowers, made in England, hearts, hounds, high-street, hand-knit, matchy-matchy, and my sun, moon and stars 🌙

Welcome to my magical knitted wonderland! It may come as no surprise that I LOVE KNITWEAR.

Cosy season is creeping upon us, well, rather slowly, as NOW London decides to become unseasonably warm… when I wanted this weather in September! Although, I did enjoy sitting outside on Thursday night for a negroni (or two) in a twinkly lit pedestrianised street wearing just a sheer shirt and a jacket (the street being Lower Marsh street, Waterloo, a gem of a street I never knew about! Similar feel to Exmouth Market, or, at a stretch, Amsterdam).

Point is, knit season is coming, and I’ve found one or two (or three, four… ahem, eighteen) bold-n-beautiful knit picks I would rather like to add to my collection.

Toasty

Toast | Graphic Yoke Sweater Dark Red Brick | £195 - Forever a fair isle classic, I’m always going to love the nordic nana knitted look of a jumper like this (comes in navy / green too).

I drink wine

In the words of Adele, and yep, I would soak up this Cawley knit. They launched this earlier this year (June, I think) and I almost bought one, but it was summer. I wish I had now as 1) summer was shit, and 2) they sold out (they make in England in small batches). But, it’s COMING BACK in November.

Cawley | Wine Jumper - 100% cotton, hand-knit in England, washable (as it’s cotton) - I can’t quite remember the price but I think it was around £220.

Slow and sporty

Slow Love | The I Hate Sport Jumper | £185 - I’ve mentioned The Slow Love and lovely founder Holly in here numerous times (remember the exclusive Studio B discount code we did back in Feb… I can’t believe it was that long ago!) but I don’t know how I missed this jumper!

I saw it on @proudlock (*any original Made in Chelsea fans out there?) the other day and it looked so damn cool.

*STORY TIME! I digress but I used to live in Parsons Green at the height of Made in Chelsea’s reality TV reign (if we can call it reality) and often saw cast members (Millie, Binky, Ollie, Jamie) around, to my excitement! Might as well add here that David Gandy lived near our flat too (ahem, ours being an ex-council flat, an ugly block but a prime location), who I’d often see in Bishops Park (Fulham, on the river) with his pup Dora. As fellow dog owners we did exchange words, more than once. Just saying.

ANYWAY! Back to le jumper! I love the silhouette and the sporty stripes, and in some abstract way it immediately made me think of Paddington Bear’s pinky prison stripes (this is the way my mind works)… HOW GOOD would the Slow Love knit be in these colours? Just an idea there Holly 😂

Paddington 2 (2017)… and yes, I cannot wait for Paddington 3’s release next month. Have we really been waiting 7 years!

My sun, moon and stars

Okay, I know we’re ALL going to want to know where this hand-knit BEAUTY is from…

I really hope you enjoy this edit (PLENTY more below). This is my work and pledging your support means everything - for just £1.50 a week (less than a coffee shop croissant!) it really does mean this newsletter can keep going. Enjoy, and BIG thank you, Bethany x
