The cream of the CROCHET DRESS crop
B'cause who doesn't want to be Jane Birkin every summer.
Welcome to my crochet dress edit (hello!). This literally is the cream of the crop. As is the way with crochet, most of these are cream. Groundbreaking I know.
STAY WITH ME - I’m going for that Jane Birkin 1969 vibe - and please tell me who doesn’t want to look like Janey B every summer. 😎
And I do also have the odd blue, burgundy and multicoloured sheep featuring in the flock. SUMMER FUN!

Now, I gave you one crochet class act at the start of this week with this number (if you’re a paid subscriber you can access the brand / link in that post).
And if you want a crochet number in a multicolour mini or a basic midi that will last you a few beach wears - but probably won’t B one of those you love to death, look after and bring out every summer holiday to feel F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S in - then head to Zara, or the other usual suspects Mango, H&M (or look ‘em up on Vinted).
But, if you envisaging more this kind of look (see below, the dream!) then read on.
And yes I have this exact dress for you - which I just so happened to unexpectedly find whilst looking at this brand for summer shirts for my husband (I really think I could excel at men’s styling too, given the budget, which I am not given 😂).
Oh, also this one below might be my favourite (I ordered myself earlier this week) purely with holidays / swanning from beach to bar in mind.
I say swanning, in all honesty it’s more bedraggled after swimming and falling asleep in the sand. But, one can dream. And in my warped holiday mind I have the beach waves of Aimee Lou Wood (in White Lotus), an even shimmering tan (not a burnt patch in sight) and long lithe limbs clothed in that crochet (reality, I’m barely scraping 5’4).
Want the brands / links to these, plus a further 10+ from my edit… read on to stay cool in crochet!
*Including the £65 one that offers more coverage (clever lining) that’s in my Top 3 ♡
