Shopping Secret... shells n sips
She sells seashells on the seashore... and sips a sbagliato whilst she makes them into cocktail glasses. SHELLO!
Dear lord I almost cried (with joy) when I saw these…
SHELL COCKTAIL GLASSES AT A (pretty) REASONABLE PRICE!
I know, I know they’re SO PRETTY but probably not very practical… small drinks only, small delicate sips and only allowed in the hands of relatively sober guests.
But who cares about practical when they’re going to look this good adorning the summer table. I hear people often order from this brand for weddings, can you imagine the table scape with these!
At £40 each you can potentially live out the summer shell fancy schmancy hostess with the mostess table setting dream! This is the lowest price I’ve seen anything like this and really they do look something special.
Oh gawd, just how gorgeous are they as the sets (5 or 6 piece sets available). Great for small strong pre dinner drinks, like a martini, no?
If you’d seen the Centa Shells Glasses before (Centa are a Lisbon based artistic design / creative direction studio), with glass or silver plated stems, they were over £300 for a set of two!
This small brand I’ve found make a variety of styles, and have done a replica. Prices vary depending on styles but all are (comparatively) rather reasonable - £75 for these two below.
For me I do love those colourful glass stems on these versions though; I am having strong garden dinner party visions (my London terraced house garden is rather tiny, but still, less people, less chance of precious glass breakage!).
Want to know who sells the seashells?
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you love this and it brings you happy new discoveries!
On topic, but on another note, I think you may also need a vintage silver serving tray, you know, just to set the mood properly, à la @iamlaurajackson (always my fave for a home garden table scape. Obviously, duh, being one half of Glassette).
