Scented Shopping Secret... holy smoke!
For those who love that after rain smell, salty sea air, or don't have a real fireplace (like me)
I’ve gone rogue and this is not fashion! BUT I’ll be including some home and life things too, and anything else I love (yes, dogwear may *infrequently* appear).
I wanted these first posts to give you a bit of an example and I don’t think everyone will know of this brand, so that’s the secret… also where to find it for less 😉
D.S & Durga - Scented Soy Candles £60 - Not many UK stockists, but amazingly I’ve found at 15% off at TK Maxx - a total surprise to me!
Who doesn’t love a scented candle! Well, actually I don’t, I find so many too overpowering, BUT these are amazing - they smell EXACTLY like they should and they’re more ‘real life’ evocative scents (I know, I sound fancy now).
The Portable Fireplace is my current favourite. Our South East London street always smells deliciously of real fireplace in winter and I seethe with envy as our little house had the chimney breasts removed 😭 . I love that smell! And this candle honestly smells just like it.
I first discovered this Brooklyn based brand (formed by a musician and an architect) two years ago on a weekend trip to Rye, in a store called PuckHaber. Then discovered Liberty stocked them.
This year they have a few more stockists but I still don’t think many people know of the brand and I really rate their scents. I also LOVE the perfume, it’s a bit pricey, around £155, but lasts me ages. I wear the Coriander, you guessed it, smells just like it!
This and Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka have been my go to perfumes for the past year or so, what are yours? 😊 Feel free to share in the comments, and we can all smell delicious!
For Paid Subs I’ll give you one of my ‘shopping secrets’ every week with the link to buy, guaranteed to make your week, month… year? Wait and see what I’ve got up my frilly sleeves!
Thank you! x
