SALE Edit part deux - now's the sweet spot!

I hope you’re not sick of me banging on about sale, to be fair I’ve only done one post, lengthy, but lovable I’d say!

BUT I hear from some people, who have great style, that they don’t do very well in sale (@ninacachia I’m looking at you). I just don’t believe you!

I do believe that sale is tiresome, overwhelming, annoying with the constant emails, and kinda boring once you’ve looked through a couple. BUT! Some of my best buys have been in sale, and it’s the only time I really shop bigger brands I can’t otherwise afford (some are smaller independents too, just more expensive, so usually above my price range).

And some of these sale buys turn out to B my most treasured pieces I love for years to come.

Top Tip - If it doesn’t rival, or replace, your favourite thing in your wardrobe (from the same category), don’t keep it! You won’t wear it nearly as much.

I guess this is what I always go for with everything I buy… buy less, buy better, love more, wear more! And if I don’t 100% love it (even if I’m at 90%) it ain’t a keeper.

A 2020 Shrimps sale buy - I bought this in the Jan planning for our wedding in June, of course covid hit and that all changed! But she had her day in 2021 and I’ve used this SO much ever since! Even just for the pub, evidence here.

A 2023 summer sale best buy, my Barbie moment! I bought this in sale (Saks Potts) planning ahead for a wedding in India at the end of October. And I have three weddings (all separate friends) this year so she’s got plenty of party time in her!

So, as much as I don’t condone over consumption, and the ridiculous amounts of stock big retailers have over bought, I still do love sales… just being honest! And now is the SWEET SPOT - Christmas returns have come back in and sales are ending with further reductions, some with extra discount codes on top too.

*Do know I will B coming at you soon with my go to vintage and resale sellers and stores. Preloved is definitely something I’ve shopped so much more in the past year and will continue to do so (and I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Vinted is a gem! If you know what you’re searching for that is).

But for now as sale time is of the essence…

SIMONE ROCHA - I have in black (with pearl strap), love the size and always loved this pink, frilly, bow one too! Was £397 NOW £277.

CERAMIC FRUIT NAPKIN RINGS - Never knew I needed, but how sweet… think of the summer table! Was £40 NOW £20.

DESMOND & DEMPSEY - I have a pair of these PJ’s from years ago and do love them (they do fade over time, even on a cool wash, but like I said, I have had mine years now). I love the prints and they never used to do sales! Was £170 NOW £85 - plus there’s an extra 20% off at Net with code EXTRA20.

& DAUGHTER - I’d been searching in sale for the perfect & Daughter cardigan (I hear good things about them) but I couldn’t find the fair isle colour I was after, until, after an extensive search, I found it here. SOMETHING SLEEK - DISSH - Very Christopher Esber style I feel (which is pricey). This is about as basic as I’ll ever go, but I think it could be a simple, so cool, any season, all-rounder. Was $119 NOW $96.
