My birthday wishlist 11/04
Every year I like to buy myself a special gift (why the hell not!), problem is I have too many things on my dream list right now!
Keeping it pure and simple this week as I know we’ve had a few wordier (and wonderful, can I add that!) posts recently and sometimes we all just want to see the goods don’t we!
I know I do at times, just give the brain a rest and show me some lovely things! Like I’ve said from beginning this Substack in December I want this to B a ‘directory of lovely things’ and a place you can turn to to easily find everything you (I, we) love and know where to buy it (if you so wish).
Yes, that pretty much describes a shop but I don’t have one cumulative place I go to for all my style searching / inspo / shopping / amalgamation of favourite brands (big, small, old, new or unknown).
So, basically here’s my current ‘wishiest' of wishlists! My birthday was actually on the 28th March, so I’m two weeks late with this… but a gal can still dream (and treat herself, am I right?).
*I also knew I wouldn’t be getting any of these things for my birthday as:
My husband has no concept of the cost of things in the clothing / accessories / homewear world. He DOES NOT SHOP. Ever. We are rather different.
I declared I wanted a surprise party as a gift but then the Lord screwed me over with Easter and everyone I know went away for easter weekend (except us!). I then told him to organise this as a proper surprise for my half birthday. Like the Queen.
And his birthday is just three weeks before mine, so as our gift to one another we usually agree to go away for a long weekend for a little European sun.
Which I swear used to be pretty cheap for flights, a short sunny stay and some local tapas y vino… not anymore it seems! Or I could have gotten fussier as I’ve gotten older about where I stay; I may have favoured a Bella Baxter esque looking hotel over an Airbnb for our trip to Porto this weekend. I’ll let you know how it is!
Okay, let us begin with the lovely things (there is 30 of them).
275 Flowers on your feet
£275) Miista Lourdes lime sandals
268 Blooming Barbara
€268) Andion Clothing Barbara Jacket / Blouse (custom made) - I’ve known this brand right from the start, when they just used to make-to-order via Instagram DM’s.
Must have been 6 years ago now that I bought a handmade set: shorts and a short sleeve blouse with ties (like the below) in a deep bold blue with white appliqué flowers all over - it’s still one of my most loved, and most complimented summer sets. I can’t find a decent photo but it’s similar to this one they do now.
Aha I found a photo of the set, a little similar to this one they do now.
93 Gingham greatest
£93) Gingham Palace Olive Flared Pants Patchwork Gingham
185 Wishing on a bone
£185) AGMES Wishbone Pendant sterling silver (available in gold too £233). The brand are NYC based so customs charges will apply for us in the UK, but I’ve found the silver here for £216 including taxes and duty.
