Apologies this is a little late this week, the dreaded flu has finally struck me down in my prime! After - dare I say it - I had quite enjoyed January (for once!) and was feeling ready to start afresh this February. Oh, how wrong I was!

I’ve had to cancel my whole week: meetings, dinner with friends, reformer class and - most devastatingly - my hair appointment, it’s not been done for over 5 months people! The lived in grown out blonde I strived to achieve has now gone a Bigfoot size step too far.

It goes without saying I feel horrendous (if you’ve had flu you’ll know, this is not the same as a measly cold!) and this is genuinely so difficult to do, particularly as my head is so congested it hurts at all times (and on day 4/5 in the nausea has now started too, brilliant).

But, I didn’t want to let you down, so I’ve really tried to get one good post out to you this week. And looking at lovely things really does make me feel better!

*True story: as a child I once had a stomach ache, went past a Disney store, obviously forced my parents to buy me some kind of stuffed toy (I recall it was one of the 101 Dalmatians, or an Aristocat) and I was suddenly miraculously cured!

— I enjoyed this snippet from Sharmadean Reid’s weekly newsletter - New Methods For Women - which is great FYI (consider this point a two in one really!). And the snippet is from Collective World ‘The Job You Were Born To Do Based on Your Zodiac Sign’

This is mine… now, whilst I don’t think I’ll be heading up a company in tech, space exploration or software development, I am nothing if not determined. Also spirited, thrive under pressure and I like action / swift decision making (some may also add bossy in there, maybe, just maybe).

— Whilst on the Zodiac theme the Slow Love’s Zodiac collection launched last week, I loved this idea! And they’ve done it in such a cool way. I wondered if it was (stock wise) risky to have such a wide collection, with there being 12 zodiac signs. But, I was (gladly) wrong and some have already sold out! Mines the ram (Aries).

The design is repeated on the back too. Even bleating better!

— Just running with the theme for one more… I also have been eyeing up these chunky chain zodiac coin necklaces from Rachel Jackson. Edging towards higher end price at £250 (there is a thin chain option for £95) but I love the chunk! And it is a statement starry-eyed piece you’ll treasure forever.

You can add complimentary engraving to the back too. Great gift. HINT!

— M&S Denim. I haven’t tried the new collection yet (but do love my Sienna Miller x M&S barrel legs) but they’ve got some brilliant looking styles right now, and they’re so affordable. Once I muster some energy I with be trying these…
