Everything I looked at, listened to, loved and lusted after whilst away (it's autumnal don't worry)

Yes I like to scroll autumn collections whilst on the beach, as I listen to a podcast, sip a pomada & write a lust list for my autumn look(s). Oh, and buy the hair mask cap I thought I'd invented!

Hi!

I am back to business and full on embracing autumn mode now the weather seems to have taken a sudden slightly chilly turn (already!).

Although, we had a very special sunny Saturday this weekend, that time of year where you can sit in a beer garden, with a red wine, with your coat on and the warmth on your face - a scared small window of autumn (and spring) I love the UK for.

I ordered this corduroy coat whilst on le beach the other week, turned out it was a VERY good idea, I absolutely LOVE it! It’s my autumn look sorted (I will wear it every day!). Brand coming up below…

I feel like I’m getting into my ‘back to school’ start now… just a little later, since I feel my September has totally VANISHED in a midst of:

  1. Hair dye disaster - occupied a good 5 days of my life where all I could do was OBSESS over getting it fixed (I’ve been blonde as long as I can remember, I wanted to tone down a little for autumn, but this went DARK mouse brown, with a very random / not requested hint of red at the roots).

I’ve mentioned Studio Rue before, and will do again (the fixer not the instigator!) but big BIG thank you Studio Rue for sorting me out and achieving the honey tone I was after.

  2. September sun - final holiday, booked very last minute, back to our usual Formentera. Boring I know, but who has time to plan a whole new destination at short notice? I like to do (extensive) research!

If a holiday concierge existed, didn’t cost a fortune, and knew of all of the local / hidden / better than they appear on Instagram hotspots to frequent across the globe I would pay for this service (if Grace Dent did holidays maybe?). And yes I do want to try Marseille next, but am worried it’s now been ‘Instagramafied’.

  3. Wedding - of one of my oldest bestest friends just last week. In York, so another little trip away (we are from this direction, but further North, Darlington).

We were back from holiday for two days, then headed off on the train to York for another two nights at the start of the week. Which threw me totally out of kilter last week…

… and now it’s October!

Right, I’ll get on with my lust list of ‘things’ (some I would say go down as essentials in my book) and I know you’re all dying to know where that brown cord coat is from 😉

Oh, and these boots too, nice, no?

I’ve also got a couple of statement coats for you, the genius hair mask, a new collection from one of my secret small sources you’ll LOVE, some yin-yang, the surprise podcast episode to give a listen and some beloved browns for autumn. Groundbreaking (thank you Miranda).

Studio B is a reader-supported publication and I really hope you enjoy my work. For less than half a coffee a week (yes, really! £1.50) you can unlock access to all my articles in full - including all my shopping secrets, special sources, styling notes and seasonal selections. I’ve scrolled so you don’t have to (I’d pay for that!). Thanks so much, B x

And have you seen THIS COAT!

Coming up below…
