Did you SEE Ganni's AW25 show? The #gannigirl has grown up
My god, did you see this? EVERY. SINGLE. LOOK.
I’ve had to interrupt this week’s planned post as I’m too overwhelmed by this - Ganni's AW25 runway show - DID YOU WATCH IT? Showing for Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday eve.
Yes, that’s right, Paris Fashion Week, not Copenhagen. As of last season Danish delight Ganni have switched up the schedule and started showing in Paris (same as fellow Danish darling Cecilie Bahnsen).
Showing in Paris elevates the brand in a way, don’t you think? And this AW25 collection they’ve just shown is certainly a grown up Ganni.
Which makes sense if you think about it, the brand’s evolving with it’s customer, the Ganni girl is growing up, she is a grown up (but Ganni women doesn’t have quite the same ring to it does it as #gannigirls does it).
Of course, I’m sure the brand will still be selling their signature leopard pieces and printed tees, this is their bread and butter core product, and their entry into the brand.
(The leopard I loved the original pieces from 2/3 years ago, and still wear my set, but the tees have never done it for me, especially since Vinted is now full of fake versions.)
But, Ganni is, mostly, higher end of the premium price bracket (I’m talking premium, not luxury) and they want a grown up customer who can splash the cash.
Because, lets face it, most of us don’t have disposable income until well into our 30’s, even 40’s (F-ing mortgage rates. F-ing London born and bred with rich parents who live rent free in the ‘spare’ flat).
Anyway, back to the f-un in fash-un, I’ve picked out my FAVOURITE LOOKS below, of which there are not just two or three but a mighty eleven (yep, I better get saving / selling my current wardrobe now).
Further adding to the Ganni grow-up (similar to a glow-up) the runway took place in the opulent setting of city centre mansion Hôtel Pozzo di Borgo, Karl Lagerfeld’s former residence.
Who lives in a hotel? Actually, sounds nice, you essentially have a maid, cook, assistant included in your rent. Actually, I may be wrong, it says private residence, but Karl and Choupette couldn’t be expected to run a whole mansion alone!

Bravo creative director Ditte Reffstrup and your design team (I’m clapping).
The collection is layered, it’s mismatched, it’s textured, it’s extravagant, it’s warm, it’s joyful - it’s a tapestry for life if you will.
Ditte Reffstrup - ‘it's about ‘creating this tapestry of life inside of you, in your safe place.’
Right, best go, I’m off to Paris tomorrow - sadly not for Fashion Week, ohh imagine if I could go and visit the Ganni showroom (they’d have to physically chuck me out, I’d sleep in there in a pile of those coats).
I’m now amazed I found cheap Eurostar tickets when I booked in December not realising it was fashion week (the hotel is another costly story, sadly!).
Au revoir! x
Oh, one final thing, while I’m here, what do we think of the new Ganni shoe? The one that’s just recently launched (you can buy this now if you like ‘em), the Oleatex Lace-up Ballerinas | £375.
If you too are contemplating the new Ganni ‘it’ shoe of spring / summer I’ve found them for quite a bit less here at Cettire | £290 + an extra 10% off with code: G115031 (they have the black, leopard, cream and the embellished denim).
I really want to try it! It’s like a ballerina / boxing shoe hybrid. My only worry is it’s a little flat / won’t be so flattering on the legs for me.
Au revoir, again! x
