An amalgamation of things I'm VERY excited about this week
More specials I just had to show you... dear god what is wrong with me, how do I keep finding beautiful things! Some are one offs, vintage, handmade, made to order and THE sample sale to see!
So, I was going to do you a two parter this week - two parts as it was going to be so lengthly - of the new brands I’d discovered on holiday: some local, some Italian, some available over here (some not), some one of a kind pieces, some with Etsy stores etc.
That was part uno. Part dos was going to be all the delightful summer / holiday wear I’d since found during or after I’d been away. Always the way you see all these amazing things when it’s too late isn’t it!
*Same with wedding guest shopping, why when you’re looking, and you’ve left it late (case in point my bro’s wedding this weekend) can you never find A THING! Why does the universe do this to us?
But here’s hoping for a September holiday, since summer is going far too fast as it is, yet doesn’t even feel like it’s properly gotten going for us in the UK. Me and my friend attempted to sit outside the pub last week when there was a rogue ray of sunshine… it went cloudy, we were cold, we went inside.
*Very glad I now bought that RAEY denim jacket at 70% off on the last day of Matches sale before this ended for good. RIP. Awful to work for (I’m going back years here) but always a gorgeous brand mix. I’m sad to see them go online. They always did do a banging sale too.
Anyway! So I got waylaid by some more beautiful things I’ve just seen / added to my extensive list / feel I must tell you about FIRST before they go, since some are one of a kind, vintage or sample sale - GAH the intensity!
*On that note I do have my own SAMPLE SALE to do, I’ve had a bit of a clear out and I’ve got some GREAT bits that really do deserve more loving homes - Johanna Sands, Ganni, Stine Goya, Sleeper - I will update you on here soon!
But I’ll crack on with the big summer two parter next week. And the sample sale sorting (promise).
I like to drag summer out until at least end September, so remember to take summer slow, soak up any sun we see (with SPF 50 of course, skin safety and wrinkles PLEASE stay at bay) and indulge in the longer lighter nights.
We’ve still got loads of time, 500 days of summer 😊
1) Kermit crochet
Starting with that one of a kind piece from one of my favourite dreamy darling vintage sellers - The Pansy Garden . My god would you look at that bright. What a holiday set, right?
£75 | Pansy Garden | 70’s Crochet 70’s Two Piece Set.
2) Speaking of 70s…
I’ve been waiting for this hippie hero to come back in stock, from a small secret brand of mine I don’t think many of you will have heard of, but here’s one for free (paid subscribers there’s more coming up for you below don’t you worry).
£242 | JoSephine Long Lurex Flower Dress Negroni.
3) Spiral summer
Like I said I’m clinging on to the thought of another holiday and for this year, or last, I haven’t actually bought any new swimwear… so really the swirly sea waves would like to see me in this I’m sure!
£58 | Fruity Booty Swirl Elettra Bikini Top and £45 | Swirl Elettra Bikini Bottom.
4) Silver swirling
I like a theme and I’ll run with it, I don’t know why but swirls are suddenly calling to me OFTEN at the moment!
£38 | Anthropologie Bean Spiral Hoop Earrings.
5) Suzy’s spirals
I told you all about Suzy’s ceramics earlier in the week - with our exclusive 25% off code for Paid Subscribers (click here) - but she just finished this vase and added it the other day. Yes I want it myself. I’m open to gifts. Just saying.
£75 | Pretzel Vase with Pink Blush Glaze.
6) Ceramic swirl on a string - my must have!
Another thing I’m very into at the minute (clearly judging by the last newsletter) is ceramics, so combining ceramics with swirls = I’m in my own little summer heaven.
Which I think you’d like to join me in... HOW GOOD IS THIS NECKLACE | £30 (I feel like this looks like it could have cost way more, slightly Jacquemus?).
It’s actually a super special limited make from a very small ceramicist I only recently discovered, and at £30 I thought it would B rude not to give it a whirl…
