Wow, this week has gone quick!
I know they all do but this one has got the better of me, or rather, a cold, multiple appointments, general life tasks / admin and horrendous tube / bus journeys across London has (how, HOW, can 5 miles take 50 minutes? It’s a love / hate with this city. Especially in the rain).
I’ll add to this list a very early appointment this morning (again half way across London, send me good transport vibes!), followed by a 5 - 6 hour drive back North (Darlington) where our ‘early Christmas’ weekend will begin… cramming into 3 days two families, friends, a meal out, drinks out, a 1 year old’s birthday and a retirement party (two separate occasions).
So, with that in mind, I apologise that my second post I’ve been working on for this week isn’t quite finished, but it shall be with you at some point Monday!
I’ll leave you with my WhatsApp monologue to my very dear friend last night… I feel it perfectly displays my emotional state right now 😂 (do excuse any typos).
*And if you haven’t watched Gone Fishing with Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse then please do (especially the Christmas Specials, as was last nights - series 7, BBC1).
Actual peace for the brain and laugh out loud joy (with some salmon thrown in).
This is Mabel’s look of bewilderment at my amusement (my loud laughing + plenty of awww’s wasn’t for her).
Thank you all for bearing with me, I hope you appreciate the honesty here!
It really is that time of year when we’re all hobbling to the finish line isn’t it; for one week off… is this really what life’s all about?
Okay, I’ll stop questioning / sending us all into a spiral and get back to the gin (well, maybe later, as much as ‘tis the season for breakfast wine, hard spirits is another questionable matter).
If you’d like to subscribe for twice weekly future content that’s much more fun and of a fashion theme then please do 😂 (I’d be especially honoured after this, erm, episode).
Lots of love, B x
